Examples of use

Whether you spent some hours for replacement of one name in the project?
    For certain your answer: "Yes".
Now for such cases you have Multi Replace. And you will spend just some seconds!

Some examples of use Multi Replace further are given:

    1.   For example, you create the website. Rather frequently you used the link to a site of your company - www.mycompany.net. But this site was displaced on www.mycompany.com. You manually do not need to search for each link and to replace it. Use Multi Replace better. Simply enter in "Search for" - "mycompany.net" and in "Replace with" - "mycompany.com". Push button "Replce". And in some seconds all wrong links will be changed. Even links such as www.mycompany.net/work.htm and mail@mycompany.net will be correctly changed.

    2.   Another example: files interesting you are stored in directory "C:\work\project1". But in a directory "C:\work\project1\examples" files not concerning to the project are kept, and you do not want that these files were processed. Then simply disable a flag "Include subdirectories " and files in the enclosed folders will stay not touched.
However if your project is stored not in one directory, but in a tree of directories, this flag is necessary for including.

    3.   Some types of files are stored in one directory: text documents and c-files. And you want to make replacement only in text documents. Then it is necessary for you to enter in "File types" a mask for processable files - "*.txt". It guarantees, that all other files will not be changed. Besides restriction of search it accelerates process of replacement.
Or, if in your directory the files of project and documentation (in the format *.doc) are kept and you do not want that the changes touched a documentation, then enter the mask "*.doc" in "Excluded file types" and your documantation will be in full safety.

    4.   For example, you must replace all strings "TeX" on the strings of "LaTeX", but you are uncertain in that in a text there are no strings such as "TeXt", which will be replaced on "LaTeXt", and no strings such as "Tex", which will be replaced on "LaTeX". For avoidance of such undesirable changes enable a flag the "Whole words only" and disable flag "Case insensitive".
For most control of replacing disable flag "Express replace".
